About Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences

Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) is a world-class international university with research, education and environmental assessment within the sciences for life science and sustainable life.

The aim of the Dept. of Animal Environment and Health at SLU is to increase knowledge about the relationship between housing, management, feeding, housing environment, animal health, behaviour, animal welfare and environmental hygiene. This will be achieved through research, education and research information.

In this way, the department will contribute:

  • to prevent and reduce health and welfare problems in domestic animals and

National Competence Centre for Advisory Service (RådNu) at SLU is a national collaborative platform for advice and advisors within Swedish agriculture.
